The Edge of Modern Country

Out of Denver and Northern Colorado, through the front range and across the Rocky Mountain region, here comes Alicia La Force & Scattergun. An energized mix of modern country and rock, the band plays a blend of heart-pumping originals and covers with their own signature.

Scattergun features Alicia LaForce on lead vocals, Brian Sunde and David Espinoza on guitars, Jeff Sekera on bass, and Sammy Parks on drums.

LaForce, formerly a radio personality on 98.5 KYGO, was host of one of Denver’s top-rated shows and was winner of the Colorado Broadcasters Association Certificate of Merit for “Best Evening Show in Denver.” She has performed as a solo artist and has been a featured player with a number of acts, including Number No, Kory Brunson Band, Funkiphino, Bre Davis, Tommy Reeves, Double Wide and Janeen Leah. She’s also been a session jingle singer for Clear Channel.



Sunde was co-founder and guitarist/songwriter for the award-winning Tyler Walker Band, 5-time RMCMA nominees and winners of the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame Band of the Year. The band was also named the winner of the 97.9 Big Country’s Got Talent Competition. He also played with Brad Lee Schroeder and the bands Longshot, Kettle Black and Registered Trademark.


David Espinoza

Espinoza, an award-winning guitarist/songwriter and independant artist, has been a key member of many powerful bands, including Kory Brunson Band, Forever Dangerous (Michael Jackson Tribute), Honeycomb, Austin Wahlert Band, Number No, Floodstar, Kurt Linhof, Latino Rebel and others. He was named Top 10 Nationally in the Ibanez “Flying Fingers Competition”, Top 50 in the JTC Worldwide guitar solo competition, and won Denver’s Guitar Center Guitarmegedon and King of the Blues guitar solo contests. He was also Honorable mention in the John Lennon songwriter contest in Jazz category.


Sekera had his first show at the age of 16 and has played bass professionally since age 21,
lending the bottom end on tour with cover, tribute and original bands. He most recently he played for 10 years in the
hit Kiss Tribute band KissM.


Parks is a veteran of the Colorado music scene, playing professionally for over 35 years. He has lent his rhythm and beat to such cover and original bands as Vandal, The Playground, Sketch, Thikk Richard, Burn, Jackhammer, The Mighty 18 Wheeler, Kory Brunson Band, Sean Curtis Band and Michael Morrow & The Culprits. Parks was born in Boulder, grew up in Longmont and is currently living in Estes Park.
